From a starting point of flamenco, blues and the Anglo-American folk traditions, Griggs performs a wide-ranging program of guitar music from Brazil, Argentina, Cuba and the United States including styles such as choro, tango, ragtime, rumba, bossa nova, blues and jazz, along with some of his own compositions. Music by composers including Chiquinha Gonzaga, Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Paulinho Nogueira, Luiz Bonfa, Baden Powell, and the Buena Vista Social Club will also be presented.
