Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Community.

Any Leo Kottke fans? Of course there are, this is an AG forum!

Any fans of Mr. Kottke here?  I love Leo's work, especially "6 & 12 string guitar" and "Greenhouse." Right now I'm working on a piece that's an homage to those two albums.  I'll post it when it's done!  I'm wanting to pick up more of his albums.  Right now I've got a few vinyls and I'm holding out for more CDs.  Great tunes.

Yea...got a LK CD about 10 years ago from a buddy for a Christmas gift. Been a fan ever sense although I can't play that style very well.
I became a fan in the late 90s, after a friend gave me Leo Kottke's "Standing in My Shoes" CD. I also have his "Anthology" CD, which is a great collection.
I started playing some of his stuff recently...........

I hope to get some more polished stuff up eventually!

IMO, he's in a class of his own and I have not really ever seen anyone who has so much genius, creativity, versatility, and skill.

Hi, Bill,
I took a look at your youtube channel. Nice job on the Leo Kottke and John Fahey tunes! These are two of my favorite guitarists.
HI!

Sure, you can count me as a Leo Kottke fan!

Yes! I've seen him many times.
Once saw him play with Michael Hedges which was great!!
I live in the Minneapolis area and I've seen him a few times. He's amazing. His story-telling makes up about 1/3 of his concert and its as good as his playing. Gil mentioned he saw him play with Michael Hedges...wow - wished I could of seen that.
I'm a fan. Saw him play a few years back at the Smithsonian in DC. Steve
Any interest in a Leo Kottke group in this forum?

Not sure if that's getting too specific.

My buddy burned me a copy of "Great Big Boy" 6 or 7 years ago, and it lived in the CD player in my Jeep for about 3 years straight...hypnotic stuff and great road trip music.

He plays in Newburyport, MA and Exeter, NH (my neck of the woods) very frequently, but I always end up missing him...New Year's Resolution I suppose...

And I agree, that show with Michael Hedges must have been amazing.

Oh Yea! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
