Hey there,
I'm new to the forum community but am looking for the best product on the net to help me advance my guitar knowledge and make it more than just a hobby.
I've found this fantastic looking download called 'Jamorama' which looks perfect for me and even people in my family who have always wanted to learn guitar.
The Jamorama affiilate program is actually quite good. As for the best product on the web, if it was me, I'd be looking for something that was interactive where you could ask questions and get a response. I had a look at selling the jamorama stuff , and on one of my sites still have links to it, they seem to have a lot of the right pieces in place. It really comes down to how well you can self learn.
Hi Belinda I have a friend from down under that also does on-line teachings. http://www.guitartips.com.au/u-g-l-c/
Personally I always recommend a live teacher for one to really pick up more from playing guitar as its a lot easier to do corrections that we can see and hear then it is from a computer, but I also realize not everyone has access to good teacher.Good luck.Ship
You should definitely check out http://www.justinguitar.com to see it it has something you're looking for. It is all free and there are lots of great lessons for techniques and songs. It has lessons for both acoustic guitar and electric guitar.
I may be a bit biased, but I'll put in a plug for our site, http://www.rhythmstrummer.com If you are looking to learn rock/beatles/blues/swing/country/folk we have alot of great lessons, plus a forum where you can ask questions. Come on over and check out some of our free lessons.
I would hesitate to buy an internet 'learn guitar' package.
I've checked out the resources out there so I can tell my students. Tony who posted here has lots of good info on his site.
The most complete free course I've seen which is good quality is www.justinguitar.com
This guy is a real musician and deserves support for putting so much good info online. He has it set up where you can donate money, so donate if you can.
If you do have money, Berklee college is now online with a real music program. It's like $1000 pr class, per semester, but you learn the real stuff and get college credit.
IMHO the best place to learn guitar on the net is Guitarprinciples.com.
I have been there for about a year now and I am halfway through volume 1 of the Shearer course.
I never would have made it this far without Jamies help. She has helped me understand everything from holding the guitar to touching the strings (properly) to rhythm and music notation.
It is working, and I keep having more fun as I get better.
