I am wondering how some of you beginner players are dealing with the beautiful, crusty callouses that end up piling at the tips of your fret fingers? This has always bothered me, and I have even torn a fingertip by trying to peel away the callouses when they become too thick.
One thing that I started doing a couple of weeks ago is to use a very fine emery board to smooth them out. This has worked wonders for me, and it leaves them thick and intact without being noticeable.
Any other good suggestions?
