What is your price range? The Guild GAD-30 in maple is an excellent guitar. New they are over a grand, but can be had used for half of that. I bought one used to be a beater, but it is a much nicer guitar than that, and gets regular play along with my other guitars.

Actually, Epiphone makes the DR-500P Masterbilt with a solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides. The same basic guitar is available in mahogany and rosewood as well, and the maple version might be a bit harder to find, but the Masterbilt series are good guitars, especially for the money - this one should go for about $550 retail. another option is the Taylor 600 series, but there you're looking at close to $3000.

Washburn has a nice jumbo spruce/maple for about $750. Played one and was impressed. Nice looking too.

Saw a maple Guild (older one) on ebay...

I had a 70's epi dread with maple b/s - I don't even know if it was laminated - probably was. Liked the sound, but it's been so long and I've grown picky since then. A buddy has a small maple Gibson, but the sound is kind of dull. I wonder about that Epi Masterbilt maple...
