The strap is to short

if you have a leather strap you can put an extention on it with grommets or sewn on ..........

Well, I am almost as tall as you and I don't have this problem. If you have your strap tied to the tuning machines area of the neck, you might consider moving it to the heel. If you sling your guitar low like Tom Petty (and many others), you may need a custom strap. Good luck.

There is new product on the market which may help you with your problem. The AXEGUARD System will extend your length a few inches and the system also has a strap keeper.  The adapter is designed to adapt any strap to be used on an endpin jack without having to alter the strap. The strap adapter can be used on both ends of the strap if the extra length is needed. You can find them at www.axeguardsystem.com. Check it out, I hope it fixes your problem
