Hello All:
Forgive the absolute newbie question but I am looking at picking up my first Acoustic Electric nex week for my birthday and am looking for an amp to proctive with.
I am a beginner and the only place outside of my house that I would expect to use this amp would be at a small church where my grandsons Cub Scout Pack meets.
I am looking at the Behringer AT108 15-Watt Acoustic Amplifier
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

That said, I haven't played thru this particular amp, tho other Behringers acoustic amps sound pretty good. But the company's products as a whole have a reputation for poor build quality and durability. I bought a Behringer mixer at one point and had to resolder a couple of the I/O connections right out of the box. I wouldn't dream of taking the thing 'on the road'.
Tho considerably more expensive, the Fishman Loudbox line is the best sounding and most rugged build of anything I've seen. The new Loudbox Artist is on the less expensive side ($500) and totally sweet.
Permalink Reply by kevin on March 21, 2013 at 12:16pm Behringer makes affordable stuff, tho ive never played thru any of their amps. personally i use an older model (was new when i got it) Crate CA30. all the power i need for the coffeehouse gigs & jams i might need it for. the updated model would be:
http://www.amazon.com/Crate-CA30DG-Acoustic-Guitar-Contour/dp/B0002...
pricewise, if you find it used you could score a great deal. all i know is its been a rugged, dependable friend to me :)
