My personal fav would be a little 1986 picture called "Crossroads" (starring Ralph Macchio and bluesman Joe Seneca with absolutely great Delta Blues guitar music dubbed by Ry Cooder.
Second would be the 1969 classic "Easy Rider" that featured Levon Helm and The Band doing "The Weight" along with a bunch of others songs and other artists.
How about "Once upon a time in Mexico" Antonio Banderez :o)
Crossroads is mine too! Great movie!! Steve Vai was also featured in that one as "the Devil". I have it on VHS, but need to get the DVD.
Good catch! Here's the clip of "The Duel with The Devil"
Thanks Jud, enjoyed seeeing that again!
An unexpected one, picked up "Back to the Beach" a late 1987 add on to the old Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello beach movies from the 60's. (then picked up the entire box set of their old movies)
It of course featured Dick Dale and the Deltones, with Stevie Ray Vaughan making an appearance on pipeline.
Definitely not acoustic, but I likes it !
Always had a crush on Annette F. ,,, sad that she has such health problems now.
I really enjoyed the movie "Once"...about an irish singer songwriter....great music in that one!
Good choice ... features Glen Hansard and the song is called ..."Falling Slowly"
Great little story. Have to admit that I had a real hard time with understanding the dialog with the thick Irish brogue.
I'm with Jud on this one "Cross Roads" Great guitar playing. If I'm not misaken wasn't Steve Vai (sp?) also in that movie?
Joe ... yep. Look up above for my link to the "Duel" segment of the movie.
Oh, cool clip, thanks, Jud!
