@ Tom Laing ... Here's still another forum member playing a Seagull Artist Cameo.  This time a more mellow fingerstyle number.  Click Here to listen.

@ Craig F.  ... Michel is the point person on all Godin inquiries.  He pretty much gives out good info, so I'd trust him on the case issue. Still,  I'll bet you can easily find a good hardshell case for a 12-string almost anywhere rather than trying to search for the Godin V1015.

@ Gary ... Yikes!!!  Does it really?  Well, that would sort of kill the deal wouldn't it, LOL.

I talked with a Michel Belanger at Seagull Guitars to inquire the wait times for the Artist Mosaic Folk. If it is the same guy, he should know what he is talking about, I would think.

@Craig: congrats on the S12..let us know when you get it. Mine is 3-4 weeks old and I'm Lovin' it!! I do have the hardshell case that was incluced in my sales price. The same with the Maritime 12 I also bought.

Hi all,

I am eagerly awaiting a Seagull Coastline 12 String guitar however I was wondering whether the standard dreadnaught Tric case would accommodate this model guitar. My local store dropped a a 12 string Norman into a similar case (different name than TRIC) but clearly the precursor to the TRIC name and it seemed to fit. This made me think that the Seagull would also fit. I sent an email to Godin and received the following response:

Hi Craig,

The Coastline 12 doesn't fit in the TRIC Dreadnaught case (because of it's longer headstock). It only fits in our V1055 standard hard case.

Just wondering if anyone has managed to fit the Seagull 12 string into the TRIC case successfully despite Michel's comments. If it doesn't fit in the TRIC case does anyone have a link to the V1055 standard hard case he mentions above. I can't seem to find it on Godin's site

Having just gotten my Martin from eBay, I found asking ALOT of questions, and a good communictive seller go a long way. The return policy should be reassuring to an educated buyer. I also requested many more fotos(neck AND strings) as its a 12 string, and I felt comfortable with the transaction. As I've said earlier, its a GREAT contrast to the S12. I had 2 local shops tell me: "its a keeper".Even my wife appreciates the difference in them!

@Jud, that eBay ad is an example of the kind of thing I worry about on eBay/craigs list etc. The poster doesn't know what the heck he has. He says it has a mahogany top, typical in acoustics. Of course, it is spruce. Further down, he describes the body style as "solid". Of course, it is solid mahogany and a hollow body. I may be nit-picking here, but clearly this "honest and experienced seller" doesn't have a clue. Still, this is a pretty good starting point for a guitar that sells for over $600 new.

Found it!  Yes, the Cameo certainly is bright! Hmmm.
