I already have a Cedar folk that I love (the one Godin sent me as consolation for the S6 they ruined). I broke down and ordered a long scale S6 and it will be here on Monday. I gave up on the…Continue

As most here know, I am quite new to the Seagull "flock." The news and views about Seagull guitars is mostly thumbs-up, but I am noticing a few things that are a bit concerning. They may just be…Continue

I had the string off and was looking at the neck block . There is a square shaped groove running into the neck block where the neck bolts go through and noticed the bolts were not centered in this…Continue

I know this subject has been discussed a lot... but I came across another wrinkle in it this weekend. A friend mine was telling me about the Eagles song Hotel California played with a capo on the…Continue

Apologies, as this post has nothing to do with Seagulls or acoustics. I saw this video this morning and wanted to share it.
Comment by FloridaGull on July 9, 2012 at 8:08am Waiting on an e-mail from Terry regarding Seagull inventory/pricing - they have about 8-10 of them on the wall - but it was chaos in there on Saturday... :-(

Why do I have my doubts about this being truthful?
I can't imagine the family selling one of his guitars on CL...
pardon my scepticism
Comment by Jud Hair on July 9, 2012 at 7:26am Interesting guitar being offer on CL in Greensborro, NC ...
I know he played Gallagher on stage for much of his career, and the last few years, I'd seen him playing a custom guitar made for him by Wayne Henderson. Not sure about how much he might have played this particular guitar that's for sale.
Comment by Dave Fengler on July 8, 2012 at 1:38pm Ron - I get all my news on Facebook. I heard about it a couple times, then we went to a Beatles memorabilia tag sale on Saturday and he recommended it. An hour later I got an email about the Living Social deal, they're lawn seats, we better bring good chairs and lots of sunscreen. Our folding chairs are probably more comfortable than the hard plastic seats with the $40 seats, especially for 10 hour.
Comment by Ron Khoo on July 8, 2012 at 10:22am Okay, it is at Westside campus on Westconn. How come I never see such notices on campus? Enjoy the Beatles concert Dave.
Comment by Ron Khoo on July 8, 2012 at 10:12am It is 30% off the list price of $750 for the Maritime SWS and the guy says that the gig bag is thrown in for all Seagulls. He might be wrong.
There is a Beatle Festival on Juky 28? Where? I am out of touch.
Comment by Dave Fengler on July 8, 2012 at 5:23am Ron - August sounds great! We'll be in Danbury on July 28th for the Beatles Festival, it's too bad you'll miss it.
Can I see that price online?
Comment by Ron Khoo on July 7, 2012 at 10:28pm Dave,
If you want another gull, go to Monroe as they have a Seagull SWS Maritime at a decent price -- $525 + tax and this includes the Seagull gig bag. They also have the Coastline Cedar Folk (we both have that) and the Coastline Cedar Grand.
Sure, I will be glad to meet up sometime, but I am leaving for a vacation next week. I will be back in August sometime. We can meet up then.
So worries about Dissociative Identity Disorder (current name for MPD) as Dr. Ron is here. All my guitars are tuned to Standard Concert -- E.
