Hi guys 'n' gals,I think I'm having a neck issue with my 2012 Maritime SWS dread. A straight edge down the fretboard drops below the bridge by about 1/16", and I've had to take the saddle down…Continue

Comment by lauren on July 13, 2012 at 5:43pm Strap pins and more...re new Artist Series models.
I was informed earlier today while trying to find out why in the world they installed the strap pin on the body side, which i absolutely hate, and was told that all models now ship with the pin installed that way!!!!(??##@@%$$!).
To which i inquired why doesn't it say or show (in a picture) that very fact as i was planning to put mine where i wanted it....
I'm not loving Seagull customer service right now...
So be forewarned !!
Comment by FloridaGull on July 13, 2012 at 12:39pm The Gulls have flown the Wolfe Guitars coop!
Wolfe Guitars in Jupiter, FL has finally updated their website to reflect the fact that I bought the Performer dread (in April of 2011), and they have removed the Performer Mini-Jumbo that I have posted a few times - I guess they don't have it anymore... ;-)
As they told me awhile ago that they weren't ordering any more Seagulls "because they have trouble selling them against their vastly more popular Breedloves" (actually, I believe that people might have wanted the Seagulls, making it hard for them to sell their "vast inventory" of Breedloves...), I don't think they will be carrying Seagulls anymore...their loss!
When I e-mailed them in January, asking what they could do for me on an Art & Lutherie AMI or a Seagull Coastline Grand for my daughter, they tried to sell me a Breedlove - claiming that, for a petite person, the body size was far more important than the scale length - the Breedlove was 25.5", the Godins were 24.84", and the Walden T550 I eventually decided upon is 24.2". Ah well - I guess you have to try to sell what you have... ;-)

Comment by Gary Ellis on July 10, 2012 at 10:33am I think Joe Bonamassa may have started off the same way. I had never even heard of the guy until FloridaGull put up his acoustic video and now its a regular on my video watching list. Thanks for this one Phil and Zoe is really good but I think I will have to wait for something a little slower.
Comment by Dave Fengler on July 10, 2012 at 9:23am I wish she wasn't wasting that talent playing that crap!
Comment by Ron Khoo on July 10, 2012 at 9:07am Wish I can play as well as Zoe. Oh well.
Comment by ian hopkins on July 10, 2012 at 8:51am that grin at the end is a real killer
Apologies, as this post has nothing to do with Seagulls or acoustics. I saw this video this morning and wanted to share it.
Comment by FloridaGull on July 9, 2012 at 8:08am Waiting on an e-mail from Terry regarding Seagull inventory/pricing - they have about 8-10 of them on the wall - but it was chaos in there on Saturday... :-(
