Waiting on an e-mail from Terry regarding Seagull inventory/pricing - they have about 8-10 of them on the wall - but it was chaos in there on Saturday... :-(

"Doc Watson's guitar on Craigslist..."

Why do I have my doubts about this being truthful?

I can't imagine the family selling one of his guitars on CL...

pardon my scepticism

Interesting guitar being offer on CL in Greensborro, NC ...

"Doc" Watson's Guitar

I know he played Gallagher on stage for much of his career, and the last few years, I'd seen him playing a custom guitar made for him by Wayne Henderson.  Not sure about how much he might have played this particular guitar that's for sale.

Ron - I get all my news on Facebook.  I heard about it a couple times, then we went to a Beatles memorabilia tag sale on Saturday and he recommended it.  An hour later I got an email about the Living Social deal, they're lawn seats, we better bring good chairs and lots of sunscreen.  Our folding chairs are probably more comfortable than the hard plastic seats with the $40 seats, especially for 10 hour.

Okay, it is at Westside campus on Westconn.  How come I never see such notices on campus?  Enjoy the Beatles concert Dave.

Creative music

It is 30% off the list price of $750 for the Maritime SWS and the guy says that the gig bag is thrown in for all Seagulls.  He might be wrong.

There is a Beatle Festival on Juky 28?  Where?  I am out of touch.

Comment by Dave Fengler on July 8, 2012 at 5:23am

Ron - August sounds great!  We'll be in Danbury on July 28th for the Beatles Festival, it's too bad you'll miss it.

Comment by Rex Edmonds on July 8, 2012 at 5:09am

Can I see that price online?

Comment by Ron Khoo on July 7, 2012 at 10:28pm

Dave,

If you want another gull, go to Monroe as they have a Seagull SWS Maritime at a decent price -- $525 + tax and this includes the Seagull gig bag.  They also have the Coastline Cedar Folk (we both have that) and the Coastline Cedar Grand.

Sure, I will be glad to meet up sometime, but I am leaving for a vacation next week.  I will be back in August sometime.  We can meet up then.

So worries about Dissociative Identity Disorder (current name for MPD) as Dr. Ron is here.  All my guitars are tuned to Standard Concert -- E.

2 more Gulls is not in my near future.  What if they had multiple personalities???

Ron - I'm in Wallingford, about minutes from Danbury.  Maybe we can meet some day and compare Gulls.  I'm not sure if my folk twangy, it's past his bedtime.  I like the slightly smaller size, but the overall sound seems to be a bit smaller too.  It's hard to compare sounds since I have the Folk tuned to standard D.
