So now we just need to devise a plan to use the forum to exert some pressure on every GC in the country to stock a full line so we can play them all. :)
All I ever see is the S6 and Entorage.

Ah - Musician's Buy - http://www.musiciansbuy.com/indexm.asp - they are in West Palm Beach - I'd have to pay tax if I bought anything there...but you guys and gals who don't live here won't...

Oh no! I messed up. Some advertising I am. It was musiciansbuy.com. Call Adam (the manager) and tell him your on the Seagull forumn if you want a deal on your next Seagull. They have all of them.

Remember.....MUSICIANSBUY.COM..............SILLY ME.

Jim - it was indeed a one time use tactic, only worked due to special circumstances. This box doesn't hold enough to tell the story, and its a good one. I'll start a discussion to tell it. Might be enjoyed by others as well.

@ Rex ... Where is this particular GC ??  Woulld love to know of one thqt carried a wide variety of Gulls.  The one's I've been in mainly have e]Rntourage and S-6 w. occasional Maritime. Never any Artists, of Natural Elements, etc.

@Rex:  Congrats on your new Seagull. Can't wait to hear a review and see pics.

@Rex, I may be right behind you, but I would love to be able to compare the maritime mini jumbo side by side and I can't find it locally at all.

Pulled the trigger today. Hopefully I will hit a bullseye, I know I did when I bought my S6 from them. Adam the manager at GC was very helpful gave me a great deal. He told me to tell all on the site to give him a call if there is anyone looking to get a new seagull. He said that those are the fastest selling guitars they have and that he will work with us. Cool.

@ Rex ... nah, not pushing anything per se' ... just happened to come across the review and thought membership would be interested.  Here's a link to Video Comparisons of the various Seagull dreadnoughts.

Greg,

Your Maritime purchase tactic is a good one. Methinks you got a one-time good break! You can be sure that your wife remembers it like it happened only yesterday and she may provide you with a few choice words if you try it again.  Or not.  You never really know in these situations.  It is a gut check decision!
