Comment by Edward Sparks on August 24, 2012 at 8:15pm Cool, that's what I would do too. Thanks! Edward
Comment by Jim Yates on August 24, 2012 at 6:12pm I have been going right into the board.
Comment by Edward Sparks on August 24, 2012 at 5:09pm Okay, I see it now. How do you like the pickup? Are you using a preamp, is so, what kind? Thanks!
Comment by Jim Yates on August 24, 2012 at 4:29pm Edward, mine's a Fishman. I used just the saddle. Luckily it matched the posts on the Gretsch bridge bass. I didn't want to sacrifice the stairstep bridge. Since the Gretsch was rosewood, they didn't match, so I eventually took a black magic marker to the Gratch rosewood to make it match the Fishman ebony.
Comment by Edward Sparks on August 24, 2012 at 1:11pm Hey Jim, What kind of pickup did you install? I know Fishman makes a archtop guitar pickup that is built into their own archtop bridge, but yours is a Grestch stairstep bridge??? I have a Epiphone Zenith archtop made in 1948 and I would love to put in a bridge pickup...

Comment by Jim Yates on August 24, 2012 at 8:56am I'm quite happy with the acoustic, non-cutaway version of this guitar. I have installed a pick-up, but I payed about the same price for mine. Made in China.
Comment by Edward Sparks on August 24, 2012 at 8:27am Wow, that is a great price for the Grestch Sync...Is this one of the Electromatic models made overseas?
