Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Community.

While stumbeling around the web I decided to check on when the Kerrville Folk Festival was happening. There is a little town between Austin and Kerrville called Luckenbach, perhaps you have heard of it, anyway I found this but I was to late to attend since I just found it this evening.

On Sunday, August 23, guitar pickers from all over converged upon Luckenbach Texas to set the record and to show support for the Welcome Home Project. 1,859 pickers simultaneously played "This Land is Your Land", breaking the old record of 1,802. Proceeds Support the Welcome Home Project's Veteran's Endowment for Traumatic Brain Injuries and the Sound Healing Program that teaches vets how to play the guitar as a component of their TBI recovery.

Yep, I too just heard about this from a friend of mine who emailed me that he was there and part of the whole shebang! He said it was 105 degrees but a lot of fun! Thanks, Edward
