Great! As soon as I find out how to set it up, I'll do so and let you know.  Thanks again.

Co-admins works for me. That way, if one of us misses something the other can catch it

Walt,
Co-admin works for me or if David would prefer not I will step aside (for a slight fee :-). Just let me know!

To Terry Angelli and David Mitchell, who have expressed interest in the Administrator job: THANKS!

It's not difficult or time consuming. You will have the ability to change the description of the Group (See Information section above) and to suspend naughty members, which is almost never. I did it only once in 5 years, to a spammer. You might want to take more initiative than most members in starting new discussions you think would be of interest and anything else you can think of to keep things lively and fun, although anyone can do that. Jud Hair of the Seagull Spoken Here Group does a great job of this, if you want to look at an example. The only other thing I tried to do was be sure to write a little welcome note here on the Comment Wall to each new member.

I think it would be great if both of you could be administrators, or co-administrators if you like. I would stay on for a while too but not be very active.

Now a confession: I've forgotten how to add administrators, so I've got a note in to the AG folks asking them how, and I can do it as soon as I hear from them (or anyone else who knows how to do it!).

So, please let me know if you'd be willing to step up.

Great job Mark! I'm still a long way from any open mic nights (or even invite the neighbors nights!) but congratulate all who dare to do so!!! Not a train wreck would be a damn fine rating I think!

Great to see so many people piping up and chiming in!

I admit that I have not been in here participating very much in recent months.  However I think I've got a pretty good excuse.   I've been regurlarly going to two different open mics a week,  and for the first time in a very long time I'm feeling like I've made some real progress with my playing ability.

Also.  A couple of weeks ago I flew to Houston to visit my brother (a real guitarist/songwriter.)   One afternoon we sat in his music room with a couple of guitars and basically traded off playing songs.  He played one, then I played one, etc. etc.    I actually kept up with him for two hours!   I really had no idea that I had that many songs memorized!

Last week at open mic, I stepped WAY out of my comfort zone and invited a sax player, bass player and drummer up to play with me on one song.   My buddy came up with the perfect compliment afterward.  "Actually Mark, that wasn't nearly the train wreck that you thought it was going to be!"

I'm Still Here Too!

I'm still here, too.  I don't get in here as much as I'd like to.......but I enjoy the postings.  Just "keeping it fun".

Walt,

What's involved with being an Administrator? If it's not too much I would consider it.
