I posted an ad on Craigslist for players in the Albany area wanting to jam and have received two responses from guitarists and one from a mandolin player. I hope to be able to follow up with them in a week or so, when I expect things to settle down at work. If there's a way to email me through this forum, drop me a line if you're interested. If you can't do that, I will post my email address or cell phone on the forum or you can post yours and we can figure out to get this this going. I believe I can accommodate maybe up to five players at once in my house. If our numbers grow beyond that, we'll have to find another venue.

I live in the Albany area and am very excited that someone started this group!!! My interests are pretty eclectic- folk, singer/songwriters, blues, rock.and originals. I look forward to meeting more people in this group.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Matt and live in Loudonville. Don't know too much about the guitar scene here and I am thrilled to see a community. My interests are jazz, blues, and folk. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Take care,

About an hour from Albany down in 'Gilboa'..... have played in Albany while acoustic blues duo The Hell Hounds. Some great blues festivals!
Performing solo now - will be checking into some places in Albany area to pursue bookings.

Hey there! I lived in Albany a long time ago and still gig there, occasionally. I'd love to know what's going on in the Capitol District acoustic scene!
