Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Community.

I've got a Model 5013 that I picked up in '91.  This guitar has been through several moves, heat, humidity and cold and still plays like a dream.

I have a Model 5013 that I bought a few years ago, but I need to reset the bridge, I have a model 5227 I bought a couple of years ago but it took a fall and the top bracing has come loose (a failed previous repair). I have an AJ60SC12 that I love the action on, a DY 47 that sounds just like my 5013, a DY 84, a DY 53 that I just bought, a classical with a lammie Rosewood body and what looks like a Cedar top whose sticker is missing but it reflects many of Alvarez's design details, and a 70's model dread with a missing sticker but an Alvarez truss rod cover with SLM at it's bottom and a version of the mirrored A logo that I've never seen before. I own several other guitars as well, but they're not Alvarezes. I'm new here, thanks for letting me join in!

New Member here.  I bought a new Alvarez 5066 (I think) guitar in 1982.  I believe that the 5066 model was made in Japan sometime between 1979 to 1981.  It is an older instrument that sounds decent with solid spruce top and probably solid rosewood sides and back. Anyway, that was my first guitar and it sounds decent like a typical dread.

Hi I am new here. I have a Model 5022 that looks like a Martin HD 28. It is from 1986 and still has the St Louis Music sticker inside.

My Alvarez also has the old SLM sticker.  And they still do the setup for all Alvarez in the US.

New member here......I just picked up a Silver Anniversary Edition - Model 5040.  Sticker looks good.  I think this guitar is early 90's.  Its in beautiful condition and sounds great.  I am a newbie and it is my first guitar.  I am a senior and have been learning for about 4 months.....I am lovin it!

I was at a garage sale today and I picked up an AJ-60 SC  for a pretty decent price..    It is in dire need of a truss rod adjustment, and the electronics don't seem to work,  (might just need a battery,  but you have to loosen the strings to replace it.  Not to mention, unless I want to pull one out of the smoke detector,  I'll need to go buy a new battery...   )

but otherwise it's in fantastic shape.   As soon as I get those two issues sorted out,  i think I'll have a pretty decent guitar!

Sweet!  It's amazing what some people find at yard sales, not me as I don't have that kind of luck.

I have an AJ60 circa 2000 and I LOVE it. It has gotten better with age, punchier mids and warmer lows.

If you can get that guitar fixed up you'll definitely have a player. Enjoy!

I have a RD20S12.  Picked it up on CraigsList for $60!!!  It was unplayable when I got it, the truss rod was loose.  I made some adjustments and it's not too bad now.

Here's a pic of "the girls"....
