I don't know if you'll find this interesting, James, but 15 years ago, I spoke with Renato personally on my ham radio. I had been working South America for awhile when he said hello and we found that we both had classical guitar in our interests. We had a long conversation and ended up exchanging QSL cards. He also sent along a CD that he had put together, pictures of his place by a lake and a few other knick-knacks. It's amazing to me that after all this time his name once again enters my world. Nice fellow to talk to, if I remember, I'm just not sure about the guitars he's pushing.

Thanks Richard, I'm good now. That would not be something that I would consider without playing it. Jim

Thanks Richard, I will check it out. Without even going there, the situation has always made me a little suspicious. Jim

To James re: Renato Bellucci (note spelling). Since your post was in May, I'm not even sure that you're still interested in an answer; however, my suggestion is that you go search on his name (or Mangoré guitars) in the Classical Corner of acousticguitar.com. You're going to find hundreds of posts about this very controversial fellow and his guitars.

I rcvd an email from someone named George in response to my entry about the Joanne Falletta Competition in Buffalo. He said something about her being in Denver once. Email evaporated before I read it and I cannot find his Comment on the Martin, Gibson or Classical Cognoscenti groups I posted it in. RSVP George.

Went to the finals of the Joanne Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition in Buffalo NY last night. The winner, a Russian, performed Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra under Joanne Falletta . She was a Julliard guitar major. I was in the 5th row. Blew me right out of my socks. His and his competitor’s guitars were magnificent. Looked like Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Beautiful. They were LOUD and the tone smooth as silk. No amplification. Seating capacity: approx. 2,500

I have very little classical guitar knowledge. Are any of you familiar with Renaldo Belluci's guitars at Mangore.com?

Hi Folks,

I have just uploaded a video of "Sor's Etude in Bm". It is part of a complete lesson with note by note directions, instructional video, etc. If anyone is working on this piece,or would like to, you may be interested.
