I'm hearing from many musicians, people who run instrument shops, etc. that Epiphone uses cheap Asian wood. I know that the company is not the same it was when it was American with Greek luthiers,…Continue

Hi folks,Said I'd post some pics, so thought might be interesting to make a separate spot for the Epi version of John Lennon's Gibson. It's a nice guitar and in looks, very similar to his original…Continue

Hi all, I became the proud owner of a Masterbilt DR-500MCE today. I traded up from a Seagull S6 as I wanted an all wood guitar with electronics. Absolutely beautiful guitar that sounds awesome! I…Continue

Comment by Jason J. on May 28, 2012 at 3:00pm Ordered black w/white dot Tusq bridge pins and a knock-off hummingbird pick guard. Masterbilt arrives Wednesday and the parts on Friday. Just in time for my first day of summer break. So it is the first project on my summer list, hopefully my wife's honey do list is not long .
Comment by Ed Geddie on May 24, 2012 at 7:48pm I stumbled onto an used EF-500RVS a few years ago and I absolutely love it. Compared to the other three acoustic guitars I have (an Epiphone Dove and two Washburn acoustics - D10S and D52SW), this one is very comfortable to play and is definitely designed for fingerpicking.

Comment by GNuck on May 23, 2012 at 6:50pm I own an AJ-500M and love it. The Masterbilts are a great value for the price.
Next to my Martin OM the AJ-500 is my favorite now of all my guitars. I'd like to buy an EF500 when I can though, I would like to have the smaller body Masterbilt with the 1 3/4 neck.
Comment by Jason J. on May 23, 2012 at 6:34pm So, due to some accidental pocket bidding on the eBay app, I know own a AJ-500M. It is not a factory second. I had it in my "Watch" list as I try and find a used value for these guitars. I own 6 Seagulls, two of which are all solids( 25th Anniversary and Maritime CW) so we will see how it compares.

Comment by Rev. Matt Fontana on April 10, 2012 at 8:00pm Yeah I can do that. My profile pic actually has me unashamedly holding that axe.
Comment by Edward Sparks on April 10, 2012 at 7:08pm Hey Rev., can you post a picture of your AJ100? Edward
Comment by Rev. Matt Fontana on April 10, 2012 at 6:50pm Thanks Ed and no problem on that note because I'll just do what I did with my Epiphone AJ-100 (a.k.a. Ed): get an L.R. Baggs undersaddle pickup.
