Welcome to the Acoustic Guitar Community.

Hi there,
i'm a fingerpicker, love so much to play Tommy Emmanuel's songs.
I may trade for a Martin 000-18 equipped with Fishman active Natural II pickup, but i've never had it in my hands nor i heard the live sound of this guitar.
What about it? Could anyone out there having played/playing this guitar tell me something helpful to make the right choice?
Thank you!

Play the Martin before you trade... or at least have a no-problem return policy in place. The 000-18 is a good fingerstyle guitar, especially if you like the mahogany sound.
I don't have a Martin 000-18, just a lesser 000 martin with a different neck profile. However since you say that you like to play TE arrangements, then perhaps you should consider the TE Maton CGP model. I've played them and they are certainly great for playing his music. If you are shop around, you can get a deal on them. The current models have duel source pickups and sound really good through an amp like the AER compact 60 or perhaps one of the Phil Jones Cub amp.
My main guitars are a Larrivee L model and a Stonebridge 23-CR.. both have 1 3/4 nuts similar to the Maton, but the Maton plays more like an electric than either of my guitars.. However, my guitars sound better unplugged... the Maton beats them plugged into the right amp. IMHO
Happy hunting.
Not sure if you'd get the sound you're after with the standard 000-18. They often take a few years to warm up. Plus they have the short scale taking away some punch and volume. Now, the 000-18GE, OM-18V, or OM-18GE models are a whole different story.

Be sure to play the 000-18 before you decide weather you want it or not...and make sure it's strung with the string guage you normally use. I've played a bunch of 000-18's while I was an instructor at a local music store, and liked them very much, but when it came time to acquire a small bodied guitar I choose a Martin OM model..the SWOMGT..the price was right and I was very surprised at how great is sounds..Back and sides of Cherry, Spruce top. I like the inch and 3 quarter width at the nut..and the string spacing is perfect for fingerstyle playing. As with all guitars, it's what you hear and feel when you play them, not necesssarily the name on the headstock.
