I like to spend my time picking on the couch but, I do enjoy that down home bluegrass sound. I am learning some bluegrass strum patterns and they are a blast to play! This summer, I will be working to improve my bluegrass skills.

Hey JA,
I forgot about that event......where was it held?
Was "Valley Road" and the infamous Johnny Goss there?

Wish you guys could've been to the Fletcher Brothers Blue Grass Reunion in Hokes Bluff, Al last weekend. Some very talented pickers were there.

Hello Bob,
Its great to have you here and I appreciate your comment. Im a fan of almost all acoustic music and have big bluegrass influences. Would your band have a website where I could view and or sample your music, or maybe on youtube? I love the complexity as well as simplicity of bluegrass. I am currently playing with an informal group in a sort of jam session but nothing serious. We welcome anyone of all abilities to visit but have 4 or 5 core members and we play mostly old hits from the past classic blues and rock. Im the only grass friendly one there at the moment. I hope to get the grass to start growing on some of them eventually. Its great stuff.
thanks again for the comment and feel free to tell us more about your group.

Hi
I'm from Mebourne Austalia and I actually play in a group called, you guesed it, The Front Porch Pickers. We play a rather eclectic mix of songs, unplugged, from buegrass to blues and a bit of jazz.... glad to make your acquaintaince!

We often play songs on the mandolin player's front porch ... hence the name... drinking home brew and playing our favourite songs... usually bluegrass,

See y'all around
