Comment by Walt Pilcher on May 16, 2013 at 11:20am Just want to introduce my new book called The Five-fold Effect: Unlocking Power Leadership for Amazing Results in Your Organization, available in hardcover, paperback or Kindle edition from Amazon.com, though not yet in bookstores. From the Press Release:
"In an unprecedented approach to organizational leadership, The Five-Fold Effect takes inspiration from Bible wisdom, specifically Ephesians 4:11-16. 'The apostolic, prophetic, pastoral, teaching and evangelistic gifts power a five-fold leadership plan that’s for the church and the marketplace,' Pilcher writes. 'Everybody has one or more of these five and other gifts, and by using them strategically in your business, or any organization large or small, you can supercharge productivity and enjoy potentially unlimited success.'
"In The Five-fold Effect, Pilcher draws on his and others’ church and business experiences to lay out the steps readers can use to create highly successful leadership teams. 'God provided the five-fold plan for all organizations,” he writes, “because he wants us all to succeed!'”

Comment by Gary Thomas on April 1, 2013 at 4:57pm A fairlly decent website to search for some of the contemporary gospel songs can be found on greatworshipsongs.com (n WWW in front), or you can go their facebook page and start there. The webpage had a background video by Carl Cartree on "Were You There?"

Comment by Andy Tulenko on September 3, 2012 at 6:50pm Jerry,
Sorry to be so long in answering.
I am in the middle of a bible study on the power of words. I'm not going to say that you can just tell your hands they are fixed and poof! Healed, but that IS what the bible teaches us. Like anything we do to get closer to God, it's a process. Just like learning guitar in the first place. Pray and confess the healing in your hands and I know it will help. How much is up to you and God.
My hands have been smashed up pretty badly also. I've had to re-learn to play, but I do ok. I just keep confessing my healing and it is getting easier to play day by day. Keep going brother! We're all pulling for you!
Comment by Mark Hanson on March 29, 2012 at 10:40am To: Reed Elliott - You asked about tab for "Were You There". I have a lovely version in my Hymns & Spirituals fingerstyle guitar book/CD. Sorry it isn't free, but the book is worth it! Thanks for taking the time to look. http://www.accentonmusic.com/book_detail.asp?qID=154
Comment by Tom H on March 22, 2012 at 2:36pm Jerry: I don't know that I have any advice for you, but I want to let you know I read your message and feel deeply for what you must be going through. I can't imagine. I will pray for you.
Hey Yaw'll! Its been a long time since I made any comments, but I really feel I need to now, because I desperately need advise.
You all know about my Carpel Tunnel surgery a couple of years ago. Well, the nerve damage has grown some worse, and I also have Benign Essential Tremor, which causes my hands and arms to shake. Therefore, I am having a hard time, with my Travis Style Finger Picking, due to the shaking and the pain. My thumb doesn't want to keep a steady alternating bass going, and my middle finger seldom will hit the "B" string(I play with my thumb and middle finger only. My other fingers won't cooperate at all. Plus it has become to hold on to a flatpick, when I'm flatpicking, but I can manage that. IT's the fingerpicking I'm worried about. Does anyone have any advice, as to what I might do to make sure my thumb and middle finger will do what I want them to do? I am praying about it everyday, and I have been for at least two years now. I'm getting very frustrated and depressed.
Comment by Arlie Box on March 3, 2012 at 12:02pm Sry about the auto play... I did a "View selected source" to get the object code from the Welcome Page. I didn't see that the autoplay was turned on.
If it becomes too much of an annoyance to anybody contact Doc Flletwood, or me & one of us will remove it

Comment by Arlie Box on March 3, 2012 at 11:55am After searching high & low throughout the house, I finally found a halfway usable copy of this, on an old CD tucked away in a closet. It's not a very good mix, and the 4-track I recorded it on is long gone now. I still have the masters, if they survived the years.
My friend Lottie Lahey wrote the lyrics and the whole time I was recording this, I was thinking of some older Charlie Daniels tunes.
Hope you like it
