Hello Larrivee Lovers,

I just purchased my first Larrivee guitar. The Mahogany LO-2 slope shoulder dread. Manufactured here in So. Calif. a fantastic guitar with superb build quality.

Nope wasn't your rant Ian. I check the Seagull site pretty much every day but I don't post often. I check her but no action. I ended up buying a Halcyon Walnut AJ from former Larrivee employee Ed Bond. It was the best guitar decision I have ever made. I have another SJ on order. I still have L03R but it's a case queen these days but I doubt I will ever part with it. Good to hear from you brother!

Hi Gary!

Long time, no see! I hope it wasn't my rant of Dec. 2013 that led to the demise of information dream was to get a Larivee built from scratch in Vancouver while they were merrily going along, I didn't want to get in on the frenzy of liquidation that ensued.

I ultimately commissioned a Webber guitar, hand built in North Vancouver, and had it in my hands in July of 2014, what a beautiful instrument!

Its kind of funny that Larrivee closes down their Canadian operations and this once lively little room dies. Too bad. I still have m L03R and its a great guitar. Its from the Hunt For Spruce Edition and that makes it a touch me special to me. At an rate i thought if someone saw some action here there might be some renewed interest.

Mornin, y'all.  I have an LV-10 with those Faradyne tuners.  Looking as well for ebony buttons for them, but nothing seems to fit.  I measured the shaft on them.

The shaft is basically a normal shape, round, with two sides machined down to flat.

The diameter of the shaft is 3.75 mm and the distance through the shaft from flat side to flat side is 3.40 mm

The shaft extends 7.35 mm out of the tuner

Any info appreciated!

Happy New Year to all.

Does this mean that those of us with Canadian made models now own 'collectors items' ? :-)
