Hello Good People

Just to apologise for not being online for awhile due to plumbing repairs being run right through my study and therefore necessitating me being offline. Will be back in full swing shortly. Hope all are well. Here is one of my favourite young artists who is coincidentally from my home town of Paisley and who gives me faith in new music.

Paolo Nuttini - This is a song he wrote about my home town. Beautiful.

I second Patrick's sentiment-Dylan has ALWAYS been an amazing figure to me musically and otherwise!!! If I could only write one song like him.....

Happy 70th birthday Bob Dylan! May you have many more!

In 2008 Dylan received a "Special Citation" award from the Pulitzer Prize Jurywith the following richly deserved praise..

"... his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."
Congratulations!

Crosstown Traffic released 1968, Tombstone Shadow released 1969 - I'm just interested in the Tyre tracks parallel and if one influenced the other or it's just random??

I listened to this song a couple of times James and found a number of versions, discovered Mountain (brilliant) and listened to Jack's amazing original also found this version which is pretty awesome.

Oh the art of the songwriter, you can write about what you have lived or what you wished you have lived or what you are glad you did not live...clear and bold, soft and using lots of imagery...sounds like fun! Edward
