Know what happens when you let a magazine sit for a week or so before you read it? Strange stuff creeps into it! Word is, these guys are pretty good.

August, 2011, pp 50, Vintage Guitarist... uh... I mean Vintage Guitar magazine (sorry, Ed, couldn't resist!)

Zappa...Anybody who actually names their kids Dweezel and Moonunit are pretty outrageous in my book!   "Don't you eat that yellow snow..."

I trust all made it through the memorial weekend OK. As for myself, I was scraping four inches of glabal warming off my driveway on Monday and, for some reason, could not get Frank Zappa out of my head. Hey... I'm as cultured as the rest of ya'll!

Anyone ever listen to his stuff? I mean stuff like "If she were my daughter, I'd..." What the hell was he trying to say? Or was he just trying to be outrageous in order to sell (a la Howard Stern)?

Hello all... still here, healing and trying to get a new business going.

Paolo Nutini's song was lovely Ken.

Lost the trans in my car just as I launched my little venture buying and selling guitars. Three steps forward and two steps back... but I'm not complaining... much better the 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. If anyone is interested in a new 6 or 12 string Taylor guitar then let me know. I sold my top end 955 so I could keep the K65ce for my daughter... That sale financed the purchase of other guitars and I've already sold a 310ce and now have a 514ce, 555, 355 and 712, which, for the time being, I'm keeping for my son and me because it's small enough to get my bad shoulder/arm around... so I can overcome this stir-craziness from not being able to play without extreme pain and ongoing discomfort that lasts for days... I'm also hoping that the improved tone (over Danny's 1/2 size classical) will inspire him to learn with me... So far he has been tryingdiligetly and I am hopeful that this will stick with him for a lifetime since tere is so much joy to be found in creating music.

Also, business at my litte production company went from slow to fast and I am happy that I now have enough work to keep ahead of the bills.

If anyone is looking for a great guitar at a very fair price let me know and I will point you to the eBay ads I've written under my two tradingnames: daniel*ios and food4peace.

Happy Memorial Day weekend to all.

Pat
