I did see the photos of Crosby and Nash at the OWS rally. These two heroes of social and environmental causes along with many others from that era (Jackson Browne, N. Young, B. Springsteen, J. Mellencamp, J. Mitchell, C. King, to name a few), would be expected to show up at such an important and hopefully historical protest. They and their music have been at the forefront of change since the '60s and I suspect it will be for some time to come. I can only hope that I can add to that with the socially conscious songs that I continue to write today and that maybe some more of today's younger generation of musicians can continue to carry the flag of music and art's contribution to awareness of the issues that we face. They are out there, but they are hard to hear over the "noise".  Nice to see they showed up with the Martins but it wouldn't have mattered if they showed up with a couple of junkers.....they showed up!

Guy, I just went to the site with the three pictures and those two protesters holding the Martins you are refferring to are none other than two of my musical heros, David Crosby and Graham Nash of C,S,N & sometimes Y!!!  Very cool, but then if two Martins players are going to show up at a protest, I would expect it to be them!  Thanks so much for the link!!!  Edwawrd

@Michael  I stand corrected, two Martin guitars were carried to the site by their owners (though I have no proof that they actually owned those specific guitars).

With any due respect, I don't believe "Martin guitars have joined the protest" is accurate or at the very least - misleading. I have not seen anything from Martin regarding their support of the mobs. I suspect if it was true there would be a lot of people no longer supporting Martin.

Or did you mean there have been people photographed at the mobs who were playing Martin guitars?

@ Edward, here's a link to three pictures that nicely show off the guitars and the players.  Enjoy.

Hey Guy, can you provide us a link to the picture?  Thanks!  Edward

Just saw a picture of Crosby and Nash playing for the Occupy Wall Street crowd. Martin guitars have joined the protest.

Hey Adriaan,

Over the years I don't even think Martin has kept their models straight...and if you think they are confused, you should study Gibson model history!!!!  You are among friends here!

Martin has more models than 5th Avenue NY...though I do appreciate the latitude. Most groups would have brought out the horses and the ropes. I suppose that we actually do have a very special "fellowship" the most inclusive and non-discriminatory way. I have no idea what a "gender neutral" term is correct. In my generation that meant "pain and no fun after." But my mind usual...:-) Thanks friend, I needed the reassurance..<.:-)
