my buddy has a Yamaha 12 string (seems like it's a 312 or something like that.)  Sounds great, but the fretboard feels as wide as a carrier deck.  Still, I love playing it when I can.

I had a 1970's Yamaha 12 string...all solid wood, loved the sound at the time just not the slotted headstock!!! Edward

its a 1986 model. I was looking for a bolder sound than my new Seagull S12 has. I needed to replace the 1968 Yamaha 12 string I've had since I was a kid.

Michael, you are an OFFICIAL MEMBER now!  What is a D12-2832???  I have a 1980 D-28-12 string and it is getting a neck reset right now because the previous owner kept it tuned to concert pitch with light gauge strings.  When I get it back I plan to string it with lights again but keep it tuned a whole step down.  SO, post some pic and info on your new 12 string!!!  Thanks, Edward

nevermind on theJ-12....I picked up a REALLY sweet D12-2832 yesterday. I guess I can "officially" be a member now.

I signed up and thought I could post a reply right away, then I realized I had to be approved...but now it seems that I have been approved and when I go to post it says I am awaiting approval...I think I am just expecting things too quick!  But it definitely comes up in my Google Chrome...
