Out of pure nostalgia, I had my old high school guitar ... a 1968 Silvertone restored ... I got it back a week or so ago. Here's the link to the story and photos: 1968 Silvertone Project !

In the 60's, when I was in elememtary school and my fascination with guitars was just beginning, a couple of the older guys in the neighborhood had Silvertones. I thought they were the coolest things I had ever seen.
Permalink Reply by Jud Hair on August 9, 2012 at 12:49pm No ... it was done by my friend Robert Stoner who has a group here on the forum called RESTO-MOD ... Robert breaths new life into old neglected guitars as a sideline to his furniture restoration business.
Permalink Reply by Dan Allison on August 10, 2012 at 12:09pm Oh Sorry, didn't read the whole story at first. It looks great. Wish I'd had the sense to keep my first one. Don't even remember if it had a brand name on it but it looked very similar to # 2 in your catalog page. I'm sure it's been in a landfill for many decades.
