1968 Silvertone Sovereign Jumbo restoration project (A true oldie, now a goodie!)

Out of pure nostalgia, I had my old high school guitar ... a 1968 Silvertone restored ... I got it back a week or so ago.  Here's the link to the story and photos: 1968 Silvertone Project !

Outstanding!

Awesome. Did you do the work yourself? I remember the Silvertones well, although I never owned one. In the 60's, when I was in elememtary school and my fascination with guitars was just beginning, a couple of the older guys in the neighborhood had Silvertones. I thought they were the coolest things I had ever seen.

No ... it was done by my friend Robert Stoner who has a group here on the forum called RESTO-MOD ... Robert breaths new life into old neglected guitars as a sideline to his furniture restoration business.

Oh Sorry, didn't read the whole story at first. It looks great. Wish I'd had the sense to keep my first one. Don't even remember if it had a brand name on it but it looked very similar to # 2 in your catalog page. I'm sure it's been in a landfill for many decades.
