I purchased this leftover 2010 model brand new in 2012 from a Walden dealer. It is a grand auditorium size, virtually identical in dimensions to the Taylor GA or x14 models. I have found the GA…Continue

Hi, I am new to the forum but I have had a Walden now for about 4 years. I was looking for something with a 1 3/4 neck width and guild seemed to be the only option. I always wanted a Taylor 314 but I…Continue

Comment by FloridaGull on Thursday I noticed that - alas...
The Walden G800CE seems to be quite similar to a Taylor 414CE - except the price of the Taylor is $2658...$1899 street at Musician's Friend...but it does have a 1 3/4" nut and an ebony fingerboard and bridge...
So, if one needs a 1 3/4" nut, compare a Walden G3030CEQ with a Taylor 512 CE - now the Walden has the ebony, the 1 3/4" nut, the woods - but not the price - the Taylor is $3718 - $2800 street - while the Walden is $1300 street...
Wow...
Comment by Jud Hair on Thursday Ouch ... all 800 series models appear to have 1 11/16 inch nut width ... :-(
Comment by FloridaGull on Thursday An all-new all-solid wood series from Walden has appeared on their website - the 800 series!
I've asked Jonathan Lee or Dave Word to comment about them, but I thought this was pretty cool, so I'm posting them up!

Comment by Lee MacMillan on April 13, 2013 at 6:20am Given that you can get a brand new one for $100 more, he's dreaming on that price.
Comment by Fern on April 13, 2013 at 5:10am While browsing the Boston-area CraigsList, I found this G740CE - in case anyone is interested: http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/msg/3731234224.html

Comment by FloridaGull on April 1, 2013 at 4:03pm Thanks for the info FG! I probably need to get rid of one of my electrics and add this to my stable, but would like to try one in person before I buy one. Walden dealers are few and far between, so if they don't have one in stock, I'm out of luck. They sure sound sweet though, and I wish they would make one with a cedar top. Now that would be super sweet ;-)>
