Welcome!

Welcome, all who are in the Rocky Mountains. I'm in Stevensville, Montana, right in the Bitterroot Valley. That's between the Bitterroot Mountains to the west of me, and the Sapphire Mountains to the east. These short ranges are spurs of the Rockies.

If you are anywhere near the Rockies, this is your group. Thanks for joining in.

Dave here, in Colorado Springs. Been taking lessons and playing acoustic for a couple years now. I can play a little fingerstyle, a little swing/jazz, workin' on flatpicking. Interested in finding a local here who's at about the same level for a little jamming.

Those of you in CO's Front Range, or anywhere near Longmont, come check out the city-wide celebration of the arts known as ArtWalk. I will be performing a solo guitar show at the Sun Rose Cafe, 379 Main St, 6:30-9:00. Come say hi--it would be great to meet some members of the AG Community!

Hi Charles,
Same issue--teaching a class. It's done after April, so I'll be at a few meetings before going off on an east coast tour in July. Look forward to whenever we can connect.

Hi Michael,

I'm hoping to be at the meeting tomorrow night as well. Maybe we can meet then.

Hi Charles. I live here in Boulder (Niwot, actually) and am a member of the Boulder Guitar Society; unfortunately, I'm teaching a class that last Monday in April! Here's hoping we can catch up another time.

For those interested in guitar and mandolin making in the rocky mountain area, I have posted some photos and documents on my web site that show a bit of my building activities in the 70s and 80s in Boulder, CO and Bozeman, MT that might be of interest.

I've been compiling this and other info for a talk i'll be giving in April at the Boulder Guitar Society. If you have additional info on builders active in the 1970s in or around Boulder County, CO I'd appreciate hearing from you.
