Hey Tomas, thanks for starting a group for this part of the world!

As a native Coloradoan, I live/work near the foothills in the suburbs of Denver; the city of Lakewood. I am a pure amateur player but in my home studio I under the bright lights of the stage. Or at least in my goofy mind! :-) Not really a regular song writer, though I have written a couple that are about the Caribbean, my second love. Playing styles are all over the map, but I tend to stick to folky/acoustic rock (Croce, Buffett, N. Young, Fogleberg, and yes John Denver), bluegrass and some country stuff.

Hi, Larry! Glad to have you join up. I have enjoyed my visits to Colorado. Hope to get there again, next summer. I have a friend engineer who lives near your town.

My music tends to be 'all over the map' as well. But the Americana/Folk Rock is a good foundation that I also build on. Ultimately, playing the guitar is a therapy for my stressed mind and an outlet for my inner voice.

I look forward to sharing songs and thoughts with you in this forum.

Hi There: I'm in Loveland near Ft. Collins in Northern Colorado. I am an amateur guitarist and songwriter, and I help lead worship music in my church where I play a couple times a month. I play a range of guitars from steel string to electric to classical, as well as Appalachian dulcimer and viola. Mostly, I play fingerstyle and/or use hybrid picking styles. The songs I write might be classified as "Christian contemplative folk/country" best I could guess. I just write stuff and play. I also occasionally play coffee houses and do solo concerts in churches or nursing homes. Some of my music is posted online at http://www.soundclick.com/jonathanchristopher. I record my songs on my laptop and post them there for fun and sharing with folks.

Thought I'd join the group, since I'll be moving to Bozeman Montana in June
My wife and I fell in love with the area on our first trip to Yellowstone five years ago, and since her oldest son works with the park service out of Yellowstone, we've decided to move to the area. We both like hiking and wildlife photography and figured we'd better get to the mountains before we're to old to enjoy them, lol. I'm an amateur player, just started tinkering with the guitar last September. Hope to find a good instructor once we get settled in Bozeman, that way I can get to some serious practicing/playing.

Welcome! Bozeman is great! I am just west of that - in the Bitterroot Valley south of Missoula.

Thanks for the welcome Tomas, we chose Bozeman because it's close to the mountains and about the same size as where we live now.

I work downtown Denver, but live in the eastern part of Aurora. JUst started recording my first cd at the Naked Ear Recording Studio in Aurora. I belong to the Denver Songwriter's Group. I am pretty amateur, though. (Meaning I have made no money)! I will when the cd is finished I hope. I have several guitars of various types and brands from Electric Fender Strat to Epiphone J-200 Acoustic. Tried dabbling in mandolin and banjo, but always revert back to guitar.

Colorado Springs--been playing and taking lessons for a couple years now. No where ready for prime time, but I enjoy playing. I play with a swing jam group when I get a chance, but wouldn't mind finding a player at about my level to play some fingerstyle with (or other stuff, for that matter).

Welcome from Boulder CO. I play/produce/teach workshops for a living, have for almost thirty years. I was in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley for most of that; moved to CO 3 years ago. Loving it--both the qualiy of life and the quality of musicianship.

Parker with great views of Pikes, Longs peaka dn Mt. Evans. Like acoustic jams and we have one on Tues at Kunjani's Coffee house from 6-9pm and Thus at Fika Coffee house from 6-8:50pm.
