Has anyone used NiMH to replace alkaline's - I read that the voltage is 1.2 ...and the alkaline starts out at 1.5 but gradually reduces over time .... are the NiMH safe to use ?

With all the relevant certification in place there is absolutely no doubt that this Ovation guitar belonged to and was played by Cat Stevens.

I agree, if the guitar is in good shape (check the neck, the bracing, etc), the med/lights should be no issue at all.
Comment by Tom Butler on July 20, 2012 at 4:12pm The guitar is in great shape. I have always had DAddario EXP16's on it, but I want a little more bottom. I bought an Eastman E20D back in December that came with lights on it. But once I added the Martin Bluegrass gauge, WOW!! Turned it into a real banjo killer! My Legend sounds good now, but like I said, I'd like a little more bottom. But if there's a chance of cracking the top, or pulling the bridge loose, I can live without it.
