Blues legend Skip James sings "Crow Jane" in 1967.
This is a great opportunity to view Skip`s intricate finger picking technique.

A Big hello to the other three Members in this group! I'm a big fan of all types of Blues, -and subscribe to BB King's answer, given to a music journalist, years ago, when asked: why do you play such few notes, during a solo?, BB answered:it ain't the notes you play-its the spaces in between that are important"
Like the thread here on Johnny Winter, a somewhat forgotten, and, in my humble opinion, a superb, and these days, underrated guitarist, I know its probably a riff, that has been played to death by a lot of guitarists, but I defy any player to get "Free Ride" just right, its a lot harder than people think to get just right.

You're right, Hard Again, What a great album, I forgot Johnny's on that Album, The opening track, Mannish Boy, by far, The best version of Mannish Boy I've ever heard, Cheers,

Paul

Johnny Winter is one of the guys i learned to play the Guitar to, The Album was called second Winter, And the really unusual thing about the album, Was that it only had 3 sides, One side was complety blank! I guess they only had enough material for 3 sides, Still one of my favorite Blues Albums, Happy Birthday Johnny!
