Extra credit available for attendance to this webcast, live and direct from Eric Schoenberg's Guitar Shop in bucolic Tiburon, CA. Eric and I will both play on some of Eric's incredible vintage and luthier-made guitars. Wed night, Feb 22, 7:00 - 7:45pm PST.

Hey Stevie,

Just wanted to congratulate you for being on top of the tech side of music production. I'm referring to your upcoming StageIT event. What a great idea for fans and a wonderful new tool for artists to connect with fans. For just a few bucks, anyone with a decent Internet connection and watch your concert from the comfort of their own living room (or whatever). Way to shake it, Stevie!

Hola, Mis Estudiantes Estimados -

Amazing show coming up in bucolic Larkspur, especially for you acoustic guitar-o-philes. Nine fine guitarists will be applying their individual styles and skills to one amazing and historic guitar, in a special benefit for The Acoustic Vortex.

Noted guitar maven Eric Schoenberg has graciously offered the use of his iconic 1929 Martin OM-28 for the evening. This is one of the first six Orchestra Models ever made, and it's a doozy.

Playing it, by turns, will be
Acoustic Vortex cruise director Bruce Victor
John McCormick
Rory McNamara
Tom Neylan
David Siegler
Teresa Tudury
Doug Adamz
Yours Truly and
Eric Schoenberg himself.

The Suggested Donation for this very special benefit evening is $50. A portion of each donation will be re-donated to a 9/11 charity. The AV is situated directly on a lagoon, with an unobstructed view of Mt. Tam. There will be snax. There will be wine. There is a stage with lovely lighting and an excellent sound system. Did I mention that there will be wine?

Hope to see you there. It's gonna be a whopping good time and a rare, rare opportunity. Email bruce@acousticvortex.com for an invitation and directions. Hope to see you there, for a very special evening, indeed.

Thanks for the "Heads-up" about Margo. I'll check and see if she has the time and patience to work with me,

In fact, I met Margo LeDuc, at CCMC in 2008. She's located in Fremont, and is a respected and talented singer and coach. You can reach her at: Voicebymargo@yahoo.com

Does anybody know a versatile vocal coach in the San Jose or Peninsula area who might be able to help me find my voice? I do Celtic Folk music, some gospel stuff, and occasionally more mainstream stuff like Gordon Lightfoot or Dylan or "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" - flavored stuff. No Autotune, No Hip Hop, no American Idol. No offense intended, just not interested in the latter kind of stuff. Want to develop what I have, not necessarily imitate anyone else.

Open to all suggestions, insults, etc. :)

Hi Mokai,

A few months ago I needed some help with a tune I was trying to learn, and I did a Skype lesson with Stevie. It was great! And neither of us had to drive anywhere.

oops, I'm not a student of 'little' Stevie's, not sure how I just joined the group, but anyway, I was really excited to see this group as I am a big fan of SC. I just caught 2 performances of the full band concerts for Stevie's new CD, 'Ten In One'. Great songs, awesome musicians, beautiful CD. I got so excited, I posted a review of the CD project and shows here.

Hey, has anyone tried the lessons with Stevie via Skype?

Welcome. We think Stevie's a blast and you end up feeling that way too.
