Takamine EG340DLX 8 Replies

I just bought this guitar.  Absolutely beautiful.  I was a little unhappy with the buzzing that i got when I would strum the guitar hard.  I put medium strings on it and it seemed to help a lot.  I…Continue

Wall wart for Takamine Cool Tube

Hello, fellow Takamine players. I play TF740FS and TC132SC, and enjoy both :-) The easiest (but not the cheapest) way to power up the CTP2 from the external power source is to use Takamine DI+. It’s…Continue

Thanks, I always have good luck with a Takamine or an Epiphone or Alvarez. Some of the Yamahas are great guitars but I can't give them away. I am going to keep an eye out for the SW341 SC and if I make any more good finds I will show them to you.

Here are some Pics - I'm a little disturbed about the Top Crack (Hence the temporary sticker - but the guitar is a precision BEAST - After a quick set up the action is incredible It's also a little goofy buying the same model I had a couple of years ago - without the 'bling'... If I see a Japanese Tak for up for sale for under $500 - I usually pick it up...FullSizeRender%20%285%29.jpg

I have not seen one of the Steve Wariner guitars, can you post a picture? I just got an FP400SC rosewood back 12 string from the original owner and it is like new still . I have owned several vintage MIJ guitars and still like to buy and sell them. Have fun with yours!

Patrick here checking in from Toronto - I've been on a bit of a Takamine binge lately. Two nights ago I drove 50 miles to pick up a 96 Steve Warnier SW341sc for $500 can. It seemed like a decent price. It ended up having a top crack but I bought it anyway. I've owned a couple of EF341sc's before but this one is better than both of those .... I certainly like all the abalone binding. The preamp was an Accurasonic and sounded a little foamy and synthetic - I swapped it out with CT4BII, and it was like night and day.

Hello, My name is Billy T. Midnight. I own a 1991 SW341. I LOVE IT. I have questions about this guitar if theres anyone out there who knows anything about this model. I own SW341 #30. Please help. I need to go as far as tracking down who and where my #30 was ORIGINALLY purchased. My serial number sticker has been taken out and Takamine told me the only way I can find out the serial number for it is to find the original owner and find out where it was originally purchased. Maybe the store would have a archived serial number for my SW341. Yikes!!! Sincerely, Billy T. Midnight
