Laminate (?) Peeling Off Headstock 2 Replies

I have a 415 Jumbo (2001). A year or two ago I noticed light-shaded rings around the tuning posts. These gradually got bigger, and finally I realized that they were sort like bubbles. I could pick at…Continue

I love USA! I hope to come back in California soon.

In September probably I should be in Seattle with my wife. We have two tickets for The Gorge, three days for Dave Matthews Band festival!

Enjoy, Francesco.  I've been playing my 810CE for 5 years now. Ive been to the Taylor factory myself. I used to live in that area and Know someone who works there.  I've thought about applying for a job !!

Congratulations, Francesco!  The 814 is an incredible guitar, and I think it's amazingly beautiful in sunburst.  I'm jealous of your visit to the Taylor factory; I haven't been there yet, even though I live in Arizona, just a few hours' drive away.  Welcome to the group!

Hi everyone, I'm new.

I'm italian from Rome.

Last summer I went in ElCajon and the factory tour was amazing! The guitars that most impressed me were GS mini ,small body - great tone, T5 great playability, baritone guitar 8 strings,"alien guitar" , 914ce Dave Matthews signature and 814ce."I went in love". When I came back in my country, in September, I bought 814ce sunbusted. Was very difficult to find it in Italy, infact in my country  there isn't the same culture that you have in USA and in England for this kind of musical instrument. I'm very happy because i think that this guitar is an artwork!

Hi Jim,

I bought my 814CE model second hand in 2009. Like James I didn't
know I could register the guitar in my name and then receive Wood & Steel. Thanks for the information, it's appreciated!!

Ok.  Thanks!

No, you should still register it.  You may not get the warranty protection, but it will register it as yours, and you'll receive Wood and Steel.

Unfortunately, I bought the guitar used from a music store.  Am I just out of luck?
Comment by Jim Handsfield on July 27, 2011 at 7:15am

James, when you register your guitar you'll automatically be subscribed to Wood and Steel.

I just got my first Taylor.  It's a 314ce.  It sounds great plugged in or on its own, and it is very easy to play.  Can someone inform me how to get a subscription to "Wood and Steel?"
