Help!  I'm getting ready to travel to Florida next week and was wondering if any of you have had any experience traveling with your GS Mini or small guitar? What if there is no room in the overhead…Continue

So far I like the K4: definitely impressed with the quality, and overall really helps achieve control over the difficult midrange. I need to test again when I get my Mackie SRM150 ( long story about that for later). I will try to get some audio/video posted soon.

Hi Greg.  Sounds like a beautiful guitar.  Right now I play an 810ce  How do you like the K4?  I had posted a comment asking about it, but so far haven't gotten any response.

Hey - new to the group. Owner of Taylor 716ce (2010 Spring Ltd with spruce/imbuia), and Taylor K4 Preamp. Glad to be here!

Thanks Newbie Dean ... I'm sort of a solid wood snob, but the wood doesn't have to be exotic.  I love mahogany and rosewood, but Sapele is just fine with me.  The GC8 I played looked, played and sounded wonderful.  Glad to hear that the GC3 (something I might actually be able own) has the same great sound and playability.  The wider nut is somethng that I have decided is an absolute necessity in any make or model that I would buy.

Hey there Newbie Dean;

Nice little axe you got there, I really like Taylor's grand concert size guitars, love how the size fits well not to big or small at least for me. I like the smaller body guitars.

In fact we've been discussing the smaller body Taylors in my group Small Body Guitars the past several days, especially the Big Baby and GS Mini.

A Taylor is one of the next candidates on my list for my little collection.

I've been at this git thing just over 2 years now.  I got my first Taylor last spring.  I "settled" for a GC3.  I play strictly for myself so don't need the exotic woods.  The GC3 has the same playability for me that the upper end ones have; GREAT.  I have fat fingers, so the 1.75 nut width is a dream for me to play.  I just saw this group and had to stop in.  Dean

Anybody out there own the Taylor GC8 ... ?

Played one for 30 minutes at Guitar Center over lunch today and it caused serious GAS !!

What a sweet instrument ... Played like a dream on the roomy 1.75 nut and nice short scale on a mid-sized body.

Oh if I only had the $2K asking price!

I wanted to let everyone know that I purchased a GS Mini... Im amazed at the sound that comes out of this travel size guitar.. I recommend everyone try one out if they get the chance. Anyway, my collection is growing. I now have an 07 512ce in honeyburst and my new GS Mini. Take care everyone!

What body shape is it?  It looks like a GS, but it's hard to tell from the photos.  When was it built?  And, of course, how much do you want for it?
