Guitar straps and end pin jacks 12 Replies

Anyone else have problems fitting the guitar strap over the electric end pin jack on acoustic/electric guitars? I've asked music stores and strap manufacturers and neither seem to think it's a…Continue

Taylor expression vs older fishman prefix pickup... 3 Replies

So...   I'm looking at a few different used Taylors right now.   I've heard people argue both sides of this topic.  Some swearing by the old fishman preamp/pickup system, while others claim the new…Continue

Taylor 12 fret guitars. Which model do you have or recommend and what do you like about them? 3 Replies

I am in the market for a Taylor 12 fret guitar and was wondering what experiences others have had with these.  I am leaning towards the 522e with a Western red cedar top, which would be the same as…Continue

Mark ... The July issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine has a nice review of the Doyle Deluxe and give several of the differences between that model and the Doyle Signature:  Here's the link:

Hey, Freddy, were you able to compare the Doyle Dykes signature model with the Doyle Deluxe?  I'm not sure what all the differences are, but I've been curious how they compare.

Yes it is Mark. And I  swear every day I play it it sounds better and better! Still has the Elixir strings on it that it came with.

Hi Mark

When it comes to guitars I am a 'buy and hold' guy rather than a 'trader' but they offered me a very good trade in amount.  Also I know I wouldn't play the 410 much once I get the 814.

Hey everyone, happy holidays!  I just ordered a T3/B in the honeyburst finish.  I did a BTO inlay on the fingerboard and headstock.  Anyone in the group with a T3 that can recommend a good amp in the 60w range?

Hi guys, I just found this group page.  I own a 1996 410 ce that I bought used about 5 years ago.  It had 13's on it when I got it but I couldn't stand that so I have used 12's ever since.  This has been a great guitar for me, but I am trading it in next month on a new 814ce that I have ordered.

I've played it almost every day since I got it.

Hi there. I am a new Taylor owner. Just bought the Doyle Deluxe (DDX). I am extremely happy with this guitar and I own 6 others but this will now be my ``go to`` guitar.

Does anyone know how I can find out what the "book value" might be for a 2003 Taylor 410RCE (a special rosewood edition with the expression system)? Is there a way to find that out???
