Comment by Michael S. Jackson on April 25, 2012 at 3:17pm Good deal (that you found a montly ham). Seems like, around here, no one wants to pick any more. Anyone else see a downward trend?
Comment by Peg Andrae on April 25, 2012 at 3:04pm Not much activity here for a while. Thought I'd check in with the group and see how ya'll are doing? I found a local bluegrass group that hosts a jam once a month. Three hours on a Tuesday evening - so much fun!

Thank you, I did not know that.
Happy New Year!

Comment by Michael S. Jackson on December 14, 2011 at 3:33pm I guess it depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your DD214. Speaking of which, did you hear about the additional social security payments for vets? It comes to around $100/mo additional when you draw social security.
You'll need your DD214 for that.
But not for this group (re: the group description). Glad to have you here.

Comment by Ken Bellingham on December 14, 2011 at 1:33pm Michael,
I thought you might be interested to know that Nell's ethnic heritage is English/Irish/Scottish and . . . Cherokee.
Comment by Michael S. Jackson on December 14, 2011 at 12:16pm Pretty good.
Yes, The Jaybirds are one of the very best bluegrass bands I've ever heard.
Comment by Ken Bellingham on December 13, 2011 at 2:08pm You veterans out there might be interested in viewing this video of a performance of Nell Robinson's"Soldiers' Stories", which was presented yesterday, 12/12/11, at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. This is a program she has put on here in the S.F. Bay Area annually for the past three year in celebration of Veterans' Day. In that time it has received quite a bit of appreciative attention and has generated a considerable sum of money for several veterans' benefits organizations. [Michael S. Jackson: if you're watching, you should recognize the guitar player.]
