Acoustic Guitar is a family of print magazines, e-newsletters, digital services, and books for every player in any style, and the Acoustic Guitar Club, the national membership organization for guitar enthusiasts. Founded in 1990, Acoustic Guitar magazine won the coveted 'Maggie' Award as the Best New Consumer Magazine of the year, and quickly established itself as the leading magazine for all acoustic guitar players, from beginners to performing professionals. In 1995, AcousticGuitar.com was established as the online companion to Acoustic Guitar.

Through interviews, reviews, workshops, sheet music, and song transcriptions, members of the Acoustic Guitar community learn guitar techniques and music from around the globe and get to know the artists who create it. With product reviews and expert advice, Acoustic Guitar also helps its community members become smarter buyers and owners of acoustic guitars and related gear.

Acoustic Guitar is published by String Letter Publishing, established in 1985, and headquartered in San Rafael, California. String Letter Publishing also publishes guitar instruction books under the Acoustic Guitar Private Lessons imprint and reference and how-to books under the Backstage Books imprint, along with Strings magazines, for players of bowed stringed instruments, and a related line of instructional materials and sheet music under the Strings Charts imprint.
