Comment by Peter Martens on April 12, 2012 at 4:30am This looks a lot like a Framus I restored several years ago as a senior airman stationed at Pope AFB. I found the guitar, badly neglected, in a pawn shop in Fayetteville, NC. It originally was yellow and black in color, but when I sanded the body down its wood grain looked so nice I decided to finish off my 12 string in a natural hue. I added an inscription under the pickguard when my work was complete. It was a labor of love, but I was rewarded with a fine sounding guitar that traveled with me everywhere, including England. Sadly, I was not able to 'carry on' my instrument during a flight home one Christmas, they had me check it in with the baggage. I made it home, it did not, and it was never recovered. This picture brings back a lot of good memories for me, thanks so much! - Pete
