"Hi All.... New to this group. I have a 1968 FG-230 Red Label 12 string that was my 1st 12. It sounds wonderful if you don't go beyond the 4th fret...ha!! Not going for the neck reset as yet."

"Check the neck relief first.  Press the 1st and 14th frets and tap the 7th fret to get an idea of what the gap is.  It should be about .008, 2 pieces of paper.  If it is more, then turn the truss rod clockwise 1/8 turn, retune, and…"

"The string spacing at the saddle is a bit narrow - not at the nut.  Just have to space my fingerpicking fingers a bit closer... ;-) The truss rod nut is located in the soundhole - I'll give it a bit of a twist to see if that helps. The…"

"I always look at the shipping weight.  Too many of them say 49 lbs = about $50. The action is 3/16"????  That's very high.  I prefer 3/32".   The fretboard is supposed to dip very slightly at the 14th fret,…"
