Hey Al I just signed up an an acordian player who is recently moved to NC his name is Al Dimarco an amazing keyboard man and Rocks the acordian he lived with Delaney Bramlet and recorded with him as well I worked with Al Dimarco in japan he is a session veteran from LA originaly from Conneticut so I am hoping to put him in touch with some North carolina musicians he can flat tear up any celtic tune so you and he should try to get in touch he spent far too long in Japan however I dont blame him for that he is living I think somewhere near the outer banks Bolivia NC I expect to be up in Burlington Alamance county sometime later this month will try to catch up with you also I loved the photos of you with jethro burns whoee what a player Hank Garland would always tell me Homer Haynes was the best guitar player in nashville that is quite a statement considering who it came from Homer turned hank on to Elmer Stromberg and every now and then I would play Hanks Stromberg having no idea what it was worth it was supposed to be bequeathed to Barry Gailbreth however it is now at the Rock walk of fame museum I think Steve vai owns it oh well give me a shout if you get this and check out Al Dimarco Al@aldimarco.com see if youre interested in maybe playing with a guy that is new to NC all the Best Rob English
Al, so good to meet you and Amy in Newnan this past weekend. Thanks for a great workshop and an even greater concert. I got a kick out of you coming out to get Jody's guitar after she finished. Told her she can say for the rest of her life that she once had Al Petteway as her roadie! You and Amy are gracious as well as talented. I firmly agree with Doug's comment in his introduction: "Two of the nicest people I know." God bless you! And, BTW -- the "Shades of Blue" CD is awesome!
