Dan,

Anytime-let me know what you find out. If you have a Guitar Center or someplace like that near you they probably have some BOSS and other brands also.

Dan,

I have two different set-ups for recording. I have a BOSS BR 1180CD portable digital recording studio-I've had it for several years and am pretty comfortable using it. You can record multiple tracks and it has built in effects both instrumental and vocal. It has a CD drive built in and I can transfer whatever I record right to CD. I am not so great at the mastering process however. Mine is pretty old by now but there are lots of companies out there who make them and the prices have certainly come down. Search the Musician's Friend or Sweetwater websites or just do a search for portable digital recording studios and you should get a lot of information. I also have a computer with Pro Tool 8 (not the newest version which is 9) that I also use. I am still learning that but don't know it as well as my BOSS. It can do so much and sometimes it can be overwhelming for a relative novice like me. There are lots of other software programs out there also-most Macs have Garage Band built right in.

Hope that helps some-please feel free to ask if you have other questions,I will be happy to share what I know but I am far from expert. I know you belong to the Home Recording group here-there are some VERY knowledgable people involved there.

Dan,

I just watched the video of "Two Words" (and am listening to more of your songs as I type this)-loved both the song and the setting with the guitars hanging on the wall behind you.  I'm glad i found it and I'll look forward to hearing (and seeing) more of your music. What do you use to record the video with??

I pull the Banjo or Mandolin out like twice a year, not very good but sometimes its good to do something different.
