David Rigby replied to Lon Milo DuQuette's discussion I'm I too old to sing my songs on Jimmy Kimmel? in the group Songwriters
"Lon...I've always enjoyed your playing and writing. I haven't heard what the competition is, but I'll bet it doesn't have the wisdom and perspective us old codgers bring. Like Kirsten said, you're never too old....I just…"

"Adam, Ship this out to George Strait. He says he's retiring, but he might want to sing this one, before he goes, or Randy Travis, if he gets back his health, would kill on this. Good twang swang. Twing swing? Good job."

"Clive, Very clever songwriting. You know how to turn a phrase. I really like your voice, which is why I would recommend slowing the song down, so you can better hear those clever verses. They need to be heard. Maybe even put a…"

Hi Dave. Over the months I've begun to feel a kindship to you for some reason. I have trouble up the you know what. I'm looking at a year in jail for a DUI. Go to court on the 7th of july. If you don't hear from me in a while that's why. I consider you a friend. Sounds weird,we have never met. Nevertheless I hope things are OK with you and your family.

Hi Dave! How u been? How's your dad? Hope this finds you in good health and spirits. Did you do the Beatles thing yet? I'm just finishing up a classical type tune. Guess I'll be recording it soon. Got a bunch of new students for my next self defense class which starts next week. Otherwise SOS here. How bout you?

what are u using for the bass line in ho down? a bass guitar or synth? Wished we lived closer, would like to get together and exchange some ideas and play together. Maybe even write as a team. You also have a love of bossa as I. Tell me about Dusk. Great tune and guitar work (including all instruments). We have alot in common musically. We even play a little alike. For me playing all instruments presents it's own set of problems as I have to think like the instrument I am trying to reproduce. A good project and a great tune!!!!!!

Hey Buddy!

You better stop lifting. You will have every girl following you. How are you feeling? Have they decreased the prednisone yet? Recording up and running yet? SOS here.. Finishing up a tune and will post when I like the recording. I never do! In my mind it could always be better, that mistake, that bass line etc.. It haunts me but unfortunately is a part of my soul. Hope this finds you in good health and spirits. Hi to your dad! Later alligator

Hey Dave
I hope your feeling better. High doses of steroids can get you crazy (fits of rage or depression). Are you OK? My block lifted for now. Finished one and working on another. Wii post soon as soon as I get the ambition to start recording. Later
