"I have used them for years without issue. I have recently been trying the new Ernie Ball aluminum bronze strings and really like their balance, tone and that they settle into a stable state of tune more quickly than other strings after a change.…"
"I hope it heals quickly. I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder from playing softball. I guess I just can't throw a ball as hard as I once did. Anyway, I have had to downsize guitars from dreads and jumbos. I got a Taylor 322, an all…"
"Yeah, I have about 94-95% loss in both ears. Without the HAs, I pretty well deaf. Happily, I am employed with a good insurance plan, allowing me to get these high-tech hearing aids and the FM system I use. It's still not perfect, as…"

Yeah, I have about 94-95% loss in both ears. Without the HAs, I pretty well deaf. Happily, I am employed with a good insurance plan, allowing me to get these high-tech hearing aids and the FM system I use. It's still not perfect, as you cannot recover fully from hearing loss, nature has not provided enough backup. I don't like to dwell on it, and just go about playing as I can. I have another friend in the same kind of shape, and she's actually touring and recording - what an inspiration she's been, too. I guess my message to young folks is to hold your senses dear, protect them, and keep them from the hazards of our trade as best you can. With a good sound man, you really don't need push the volume to 10.
