"This thread is Very Old... But I use Rechargeable NiMH in my Ovations and they work just fine. Just change them when they little light tells you to. You may have to change them more frequently... but they are rechargeable."

Ovation 1997 wide neck collectors edition

I needed new pickup system for this guitar . I called up Ovation support in NewHartford..CT..They had some in stock and quoted me a price. I called back in aweek and the price went up. I decided to try the fishman matrixinfinintysystem..I did not have to change anything on the guitar. The hard part was thetusq saddle from graph tech can't use shims. "Hi Mike, I use a Roland BA-330 - I really like it. I tried the bose L1 and the fishman. The roland has more bass than the L1 and the fishman. If you purchase the Bose with the optional bass speaker.. a different story..I have played to 300…"
