Erik Gran replied to Paul Walters's discussion Anyone else using Half-Nashville baritone tuning? in the group Baritone Guitar
"I've got my Loef baritone stringed like that, and have tried to figure some ways to use this setup. First of all, it gives more space in almost any chord you play, as you get more tonal space between the low and high notes in the chord. The…"

Loef baritone "Barita"

"Hi Erik, Would you let me know the sting gauges you use on your baritone. I noticed an older post you made (Pat Metheny) and you mentioned tuning up the 3rd and 4th strings an octave higher.  Thanks"

Erik Gran commented on John Michael Meehan's group Baritone Guitar
"Read about Pat Metheny and the way he tunes his baritone, with the 3rd and 4th string raised and octave, and a fifth below standard, ie. ADGCEA. Tried it out, and it really opens up the sound in closed "jazz" chord voicings. Well worth a…"

Erik Gran commented on Michael S. Jackson's group The Music Link Acoustic Instruments
"I own a Recording King RK-R20 Songster banjo. It's a cheap banjo, but plays well and sounds good and is lots of value for the money!"

""Barita"; the Loef baritone has finally arrived! I just published some pictures and a soundclip on my page. I hope that they give some impressions of the quality of the guitar, in spite of all the shortcomings in my skills as a…"

Hi, I had a Yamaha 12 string years ago that I wish I had never sold! I sold it to rasie money to by an Ovation acoustic bass. Anyway, it was a model FG-260 12 string. The only thing I didn't like aobut it was the slotted head, which was hard to re-string! I have a picture of it on my website. I wrote about how I got it on the 12 string discussion, so I won't repeat that here. Anyway, here is the address to my website and to the photo/description page for my Yamaha 12 string guitar. If you get a chance to visit, please feel free to sign the Guestbook!

Thanks, Edward
