"After fifty years of playing many other guitars I bought this month my first Lowden - S-35, koa/alpine spruce. And wow, what an experience! The sound, playability and modest beauty, it all comes together in a superb instrument."

Thanks for the comment. The guitar I played at Winfield was a Grand Concert special guitar I had made by a CA luthier named Steve Patience. I had him make it out of some special Walnut I sent him. It was a shelf I made for my mother in 1964 and when she passed away 3 years ago I thought I would honor her by making a guitar out of the shelf wood because she loved to listen to me play. He did a wonderful job on it. It has redwood top and walnut sides and back.
Thanks and Keep in touch
