"After fifty years of playing many other guitars I bought this month my first Lowden - S-35, koa/alpine spruce. And wow, what an experience! The sound, playability and modest beauty, it all comes together in a superb instrument."

Forrest Anderson commented on James Sennett's group Martin Owners
"Hi Dave. I probably should add that even after this planing, that guitar has a substantial neck. What most people would call fat, though not like the old Gibson "baseball bat" necks. Lorenzo Pimentel, who made the guitar for me, was…"

Forrest Anderson commented on James Sennett's group Martin Owners
"Hi Dave. I have a steel-string Pimentel guitar that has a "Spanish foot," which apparently means the neck and the block are one piece. When the neck started to come up (after a number of years) the Pimentel shop took the fret board off,…"

Hi Vince.

That guitar certainly sounds great on your recordings. Is that the one Todd Hallowell asked about?

Best wishes,

Thanks for the comment. The guitar I played at Winfield was a Grand Concert special guitar I had made by a CA luthier named Steve Patience. I had him make it out of some special Walnut I sent him. It was a shelf I made for my mother in 1964 and when she passed away 3 years ago I thought I would honor her by making a guitar out of the shelf wood because she loved to listen to me play. He did a wonderful job on it. It has redwood top and walnut sides and back.
Thanks and Keep in touch
