"Thanks Bob. Same to you. Let's hope for the best for 2014.
Thanks for posting the Joni video. It brings back a lot of memories. I saw her live a couple of times. Probably one of the most talented musicians alive!"
I will check it out.
I have actually given up for the time being, since my primary focus is on learning the guitar, not the technical aspects of recording. I will eventually get back to that since I would like to…"
"I know what your going through Gary. I'm just starting out myself and had a hard time deciding what to get. I decided to get a Samson C01U condenser mic that connect via USB and just run it through Garageband. The mic comes…"
"Thanks for posting this. You have given me a lot to chew on.
I had never tried dropped D tuning. I typically play it in standard tuning. However, if you tune all six strings down 1/2 step you play along with the recording and it…"

Slide index to 10, middle to 11

"Michael, perhaps you're not familiar with the peculiar little beast that is the Zoom Q3HD. It's one of the very few video recorders that feature an emphasis on audio quality. On the other hand, plugging a mic or mixer into the audio input…"
Got to thinking and I'm not sure if I led you in the right direction for my song lists. I started the group "Mentors" and have the lists on that page under "discussions". Have a look and see if you find any Beatles you like. As mentioned in my message to you, there are a number of Beatles tunes that are not on the lists because they are more electric or band type songs. Let me know!
Gary, your welcome! Yes, Rocky is relatively simple and the lyrics are easy to remember as well. If you have any interest in any other Beatles let me know. You can look at my lists (alpha by artist and alpha by song) to see if there is anything you might like to learn.
hi gary thanks for taking the time to look at my playing,,,as for the strings thay are light gauge have used them for a long time now, thay sound good playing finger style and as long as you are not hard on the strings you can play with a pick if you play with med gauge i think you will hear the difference,,,its all good fun.
