"I am partial to the Gripick, since it is my family business.  Check them out at www.Gripick.com ; made in all sizes in Nylon or Delrin.  They are pretty cool."

Bob Crain replied to Gerald Germany's discussion Super pick users? What's your preference? in the group Martin Owners
"We had this discussion a couple of weeks ago.....picks. I use a different pick on almost every song I play so I have quite a number of different ones that I use. Not sure I could go for a $30 pick....it would have to be a do all which none of them…"

"Yikes!  Hang in there G.  Glad you're playing a bit.  Josh, much like me, likes a little bend in his pick.  Your comments led me to buy a couple of RBs which I've grown accustomed to and enjoy for getting a particular…"

"Thus far the best (closest to TS) is the Blue Chip. I haven't done much with the picks since July because I had my transplant in July and that knocked me into the dirt for a while. Doing much better now and getting some playing in."

"Hey Josh. That's an 'amen' on the ultex.  I keep going back to them as I shuffle my picks around.  I recently began to increase my use of the .73 when playing my ol' 30's featherlight Gibson L0, where I used to…"

"I love my wegens for mandolin (M150) but I haven't found a better pick than Dunlop ultex .73's for gutair, just the right amount of flex for modern strumming styles, but stiff enough to flatpick and boom chuck if you want to. I burn…"

"Hi Gerald...I think I insulted the peeps over at Red Bear by suggesting they break down and offer one super thin model...maybe .60mm and name it after me.  They say the inconsistencies in the material under the surface could reveal weaknesses,…"

"Hey Gerald!  Boy do I feel lame.  Got my Red Bear picks and can't seem to find my feel with the inflexibility.  I swear they dull the tone of my 50's J45 and LGII, mudiness as you say, unless the grip is so light the…"

"Gerald,   Hey thanks man - that sounds like a great steer!  I will try that.  But I dunno, there's something so dang homegrown about makin' your own picks out of a big sheet.  I used to cut them out of gallon milk jugs…"

"Hey Kevin! Good to see you over here! There's plenty of other forums in here to join besides the Martin Owner's group. I don't think you really even have to be a Martin Owner to join anyway.   I think there are export/import…"

"Hi G.  You might be nearing the pickdom (plectrum) pinnacle.  The ear is a funny thing, though, and the subleties of acoustic guitar tone change throughout a day's worth of atmospheric variables. "

"OK...I received today a buffalo horn pick and an elephant ivory pick from Bob Colosi, as well as a couple of mastadon ivory picks from TuskBuffer. All have a right bevel.   The buffalo horn pick is the closest thing I've seen yet to the…"
